  • Silly question

I was wondering if any of you who have interstim or the synergy (like me) have to take antibodics when you go to the dentist (my doctor makes me). Now for the silly question well the first part is very serious my Aunt was recently dx with stage 4 lung cancer and my Mom, Auntie, sister and cousins all want to get together and do the white ribbon tatoo on their foot they want me to get one also, but my doctor is allways talking to me about infections so I'm very scared and also I'm just scared period (what can I say a needle fear). But have any of you out there done this before and had any problems with it?
    Kat's current Medication:

    Flomax .4mg pm
    Celebrex 200mg in pm
    Singulair 10mg in pm
    Nexium 40mg am and pm
    EstratestHS .625mg every day
    Tramadol HCL 50mg (for pain)
    Albuterol (asthma)
    Bladder Installations:
    8.4% Sodium Bicarbonate 10cc
    Marcaine 0.5% 10cc
    Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate 4mg 10cc
    Heparin Sodium 4mL

Therefore I say to you do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? (Matt. 6:25)

I have no idea what the synergy is. There are girls here that have the stims and got tats after. I personally haven't (yet lol). I also do not take meds before I go to the dentist. If your doctor advice is against it, then I would go with his advice.

Synergy is almost like the interstim (it's suppose to be updated) it does not control pain but it does control the frequency my frequency went from like 32 to 16 which is great.
Thanks for your advice I think your right and I think deep down that maybe I just better get a toe ring with a white ribbon to support her I love her alot but I won't want and she won't want me to indanger my health.

I have never heard of that before, and my doctor is an ic specialist. The interstim dose not control pain either. I did a search for Synergy and I could not find anything that was related to bladder control. Do you have any info?

I have never taken antibiotics before surgery since my stim. I was never told to.
