  • Having Surgery This Tuesday !!!

Well I am leaving tomorrow for Toronto as it is a two hour drive and we would have to be up very early to get there in time ..
The surgery for a new pacemaker on Tuesday morning, I have to be at the hospital at 7:00 am and my surgery is at 9:00 am ..
So glad to get this over with and get back to my normal self..
I am really surprise that I was not in to much pain for the last six months as my battery stopped working on November 28 , so it will be six months and one day to the time it stop working..
The only thing I had real big problems with was not being able to pee a lot..
I am now having blood pressure problems that my blood pressure is to high, doctor thinking is has a lot to do with the kidneys now, so now I am put on a half a water pill for awhile ..
So I hoping that the blood pressure will come down after my surgery on Tuesday ..
So I will let you know how it goes when I am up to sitting as you know how sore you butt area is...

    Debbie
Thinking positive has got me through to another day!!

    Good Luck!
    Christine

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

Debbie my husband takes blood pressure pills too and the doctor put him on water pills, it did help with lowering the blood pressure, don't know why but it did.

Sounds like you have a big day tomorrow and hope all goes well with the new pacemaker. Hope you are feeling better before tomorrow so your trip will be more comfortable for you.

        Take care, Trishann
