    Hello everyone,

    Thank you all for the kind words.

    To DebbieB--I'm not overdoing it. Hubby won't let me. I'm actually going stir crazy NOT being able to do anything. I'm itching to get some projects done around the house and getting on people's nerves around here, I think. Yes I'm trying to be very patient and give this time. People ask me every day if I'm doing any better. It's still about the same as the test stim was and I haven't hit the 200 cc like I did with the test. I've been staying between 150-175 cc pretty much. But I tell myself it's in there now and there it is going to stay for quite a while. I'm not giving up that easily.

    To Erika,
    My butt is getting better, still sore, but much better than it was. I tend to rub that area too. I don't know why either.

    To Rascal--Glad to hear you're doing so much better. I do have less pain. I'm not exactly sure if it's the Interstim or the fact that I have been on Elavil for 3 months now and maybe that's helping.

    To Deborah Bush--My problem is retention and I have a suprapubic tube. I have the permanent one now and hoping and praying for the best. My doctor mentioned Botox as the next thing we can try if this doesn't work. It's early yet. Thank you for the prayers.

    All of you are in my prayers as well. Have a great weekend everyone.

    Annie Mac is your problem urgercey & frequency or is it pain or is it all three? Are you getting any relief from you trail study of the inerstim? I had the interstim and it only worked 30% and then I had to have it redone. Then eventhly I had it taken out. Then I tried Botox and it worked 100% for me. I will be prayer for you and I hope that the interstim works for you. Have a nice weekend.

    I had my trail on April 20th. Washed my hair by leaning over the tub. It worked out O.K. Just be careful. Also sat on bench in tub and used a shower wand. Definely better than sponge bath. I then had final implant on May 8th 2007. It took about 4 or 5 days before i really noticed a difference. It has been like night and day for me. Where i was going to the bathroom anywhere from 40 to 80 time in a 24 hour period, I now go probably 8 to 12 times in a 24 hour period. I can live with this. Some people still think i go a lot but they haven't been through what we have. That horrible pressure to go all the time is also now gone. This was a blessing for me. I have not had an IC flare since end of April. I keep my fingers crossed. I am having trouble with possible Fibromyalgia, I go to a specialist on July 26, soonest they could get me in. But i am hanging in there. You need to do the same.

    My butt hurt for about a week, then not at all until 2 weeks. At 2 weeks I had pain if I sat on that cheek or bent the wrong way. It lasted about a month. Now I only have pain if I press on the site-why I push on it is beyond me, but I do it sometimes I feel great now,and have even been cleared by my uro to start playing soccer again!:woohoo:

    Hi Annie ;

    I am glad everything went well ,just don't over do your self with any kind of lifting ..

    I am still having problems since my surgery on May 29 with lifting so I am taking is really easy, I guess I am old as it is sure taking some time to heal for me..

    As for the bandage, never had it happen but just watch your incision that they are not red or swollen as this is a good sign of infection, just have to watch that as well..

    It will take awhile when I had the Implant done I did not get any good results until after eight months..

    Thank you Christine for the well wishes.

    On another note, I have a problem with the Steri-Strips. I went to remove the plastic bandage over the Steri-Strips, trying to leave the Steri-Strips in place, but they stuck to the bandage and started to come off with it, so I left the bandage in place and took my shower. The plastic shriveled up some but I just left it in place over the Steri-Strips. I'm not sure what else to do. Did anybody else have this happen?

    Hi everyone,

    I just wanted to let everyone know that I went ahead with the permanent implant and currently feel like I got kicked in the butt by a mule. I get to take a shower tonight. WOO HOO....I'm sure everyone else around me is happy too...LOL. Anyway, haven't really noticed any more improvement with the permanent vs the trial, but I haven't given up hope yet. I told the doctor I wasn't giving up that easily. Other than being very sore and a little burning, I'm doing okay. Just anxious to see some improvement. Must think positive. FREE THE PEE!!!. LOL.
