I decided, after my 2 week trial, to get an interstim. Anybody else recently get one??
I am still very sore, itchy and sick on top of it.
It's wonderful to have a semi-answer to dealing with this condition after over a decade! It is helping me deal with the pain as well as urgency. I was at the point of wanting a bladder removal so I am glad this will be another coping tool to help avoid serious surgery or, at least, put it off. My MD said he'd discuss bladder removal if things progressed.
I do not think IC normally progresses but it's been basically disabling in my case. I have managed to work but I have a week off now to recover. I did not take off time for the trial which was hard.
So grateful for this board which helped me research this and come to a decision.
