Thanks for all your replies. I have stopped taking cymbalta and have been urinating like my "normal" self again. Actually, I had insane freq (every 5 minutes) for a day and then it started to slow down.
I will ask my doc about Effexor and Savella. I don't know what I would do without all the helpful people here!
I am also going to start Tizanidine tonight.

That is the one symptom my Dr told me to look for when I started cymbalta. If this one doesn't work for you there is still effexor and savella. I hope you find some relief.

Most definitely.
This is from the Cymbalta website www.cymbalta.com
Talk with your healthcare provider:
about all your medical conditions, including kidney or liver problems, glaucoma, diabetes, seizures, or if you have bipolar disorder. Cymbalta may worsen a type of glaucoma or diabetes
if you have itching, right upper belly pain, dark urine, yellow skin/eyes, or unexplained flu-like symptoms while taking Cymbalta, which may be signs of liver problems. Severe liver problems, sometimes fatal, have been reported
about your alcohol use
about all your medicines, including those for migraine, to address a potentially life-threatening condition. Symptoms may include high fever, confusion, and stiff muscles
if you are taking NSAID pain relievers, aspirin, or blood thinners. Use with Cymbalta may increase bleeding risk
before stopping Cymbalta or changing your dose
if you experience dizziness or fainting upon standing while taking Cymbalta. This is likely to occur in the first week or when increasing the dose, but may occur at any time during treatment
about your blood pressure. Cymbalta can increase your blood pressure. Your healthcare provider should check your blood pressure prior to and while taking Cymbalta
if you experience headache, weakness, confusion, problems concentrating, memory problems, or feel unsteady while taking Cymbalta, which may be signs of low sodium levels
if you develop problems with urine flow while taking Cymbalta
if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during therapy, or are breast-feeding

trouble urinating, Cymbalta?
Hi,
I don't take cymbalta, but it does sound possible. Have you called your doctor? Not peeing can lead to other problems so it would probably be a good idea to speak with him/her if you haven't already.

Difficulty Urinating! Cymbalta side effect?
I started Cymbalta three days ago and its done wonders for my vulvodynia. But I've been having major difficulty in urinating. I feel crazy insane urge, but I just can't urinate for 12-13 hrs at a time! I started drinking more water than usual, but when I do finally urinate, my urine is concentrated and low volume. What is happening and where is all the water going?
Is what I am experiencing a side effect of Cymbalta? Will it eventually go away after a while of taking Cymbalta?
p.s. I also have severe PFD, so trouble urinating has been a problem before I even started Cymbalta, I just never went this long without urinating.Tags: None
