  • Arnica. Has anyone used it for pain

Hello everyone.. it's been a long long time since I've been on this website. Life just seems to keep flying by lol. Still dealing with IC, like all of you. Also dealing with fibromyalgia, extreme hypoglycemia, had to have my colon removed in 2015, and was diagnosed with TBI traumatic brain injury. However, I'm not a victim, never have been.
I do have a question. Our holistic veterinarian prescribed Arnica for our 11 ye old Australian shepherd for joint pain. She said it is VERY helpful for joint pain as well as inflammation. It seems to really be helping our boy, Copper.
Has Anyone taken it before?? I'm wondering if it might help the bladder pain and fibromyalgia??
But not sure if it will flare my bladder? I've had IC for almost 30 yrs and it is pretty severe.
ANY in put or help would be appreciated. If I'm posting on the incorrect board please let me know. Thank you all and I pray you have a blessed weekend.
    Trying to stay strong,
    Sheila

I've never taken it. If you decide to try it, please be sure to let us know how it goes.

I have taken arnica both orally and topically for bruising on and off for years. Never hurt my bladder but it has never helped it either!

Re: Arnica. Has anyone used it for pain

I find arnica gives me a horrible rash.
Tried many different formulations with it for various skin or joint issues and every time there is even a slight bit of arnica in the lotion, it gives me a rash.
Of course i do have chronic rashes but it causes a worsening rash.
Thats what i have found anyway.
Have dealt with chronic pain and gerd/ibs since '98 endometriosis, vulvodynia diagnosed 2000, ic diagnosed around 2004, chronic epstein barr-like virus 2011
Hysterectomy/oophorectomy 2014 endo had destroyed everything
Now dealing with recurrence and menopause in late 30s
Other things--migraines, chronic hives, eczema, raynauds, congenital scoliosis, broke 3 vertebrae in middle of back when i was 16, heart defect (ventrical septal defect)
