Does Anyone Take Drugs Like Enablex Every Other Day?

I am reluctant to switch to a drug in this class that has a generic when this is working so well (incontinence med like Enablex; Enablex doesn't have a generic), but I'm having trouble paying for it each month. Before trying a switch, I wanted to try taking it every other day to see if that works well enough. Does anyone here taking this class of medication not take it every day? I've pulled a few more drug cards off the Internet (at my pharmacist's suggestion) to see if one of them will work the next time I need to get this filled, but so far no luck. I don't qualify for any drug assistance.

EDIT: I'm finding only one of these with a generic and it's supposed to be worse on side effects...all the others are the same price if not higher than what I'm already taking.
