  • Pyridium In Canada

The company Erfa Canada Inc will be manufacturing Pyridium soon, my pharmacist tipped me off, as I had a script for it despite it not being available. I emailed them to see around what date they might have it in pharmacy.

I received this email back from the medical director:
"Thank you for contacting Erfa Canada Inc. We are still in the process of planning the manufacturing of Pyridium and we intend to bring it back to the market as soon as all the technical issues are resolved. It will be available in all pharmacies in Ontario. We hope that it will become available by the end of the year and we will keep you inform as soon as a release date is available."

Hopefully we'll have it before January, especially since I haven't been able to get AZO shipped to Canada.

Hey! I have pyridium where I live in Canada, I get it all the time...? Perhaps it is not avaliable in certain parts?

    Jenn
    28 yrs old,

I have little to no problems now with my bladder, unless I am very stressed out, I forget to take Elmiron for a few days, or I eat or drink something that I know is a trigger...(i.e) like eating a tomato or drinking tea.... Took a long time to get here, but it IS possible to feel good again I just want people who are new to know that IT CAN get better, and for every one person who is suffering, there are hundreds of others who feel GREAT because they have control of thier IC.

What Works: Tylenol 3's, Pyridium, Elmiron (Going on 4 years now!) HOT showers!!!

Medications/ Vitamins: Elmiron-100mg 4x's daily Tylenol 3's/Advil (flaring) Vitamin D, WILD salmon oil 4x gels in the morning, Women's ONE a DAY multivitamin (the gummy kind doesn't make me flare) and PROBIOTICS!

    Me in my graduation gown!

Really? I live in Ontario, and there's none here, no pharmacy I've called has any leftovers either.

Do you know which company is manufacturing your pyridium?

I am actually not sure at all. I do know that when I first asked for it though, my pharmacist told me it wasnt avaliable, and then he said just wait a minuet and got on the phone with a manufacturer that had it specially made for me. They said they dont normally do it, but they will. So now whenever I go to the pharmacy, they always have a stock pile for me. Im pretty sure I was the only one who was using it in my entire town lol. I dont use it much anymore though, I dont seem to have trouble with my bladder annymore as long as I am careful and I dont overdoise on tea- like I did this morning.... lol....

I will ask my pharmacist next time I see him though!

Oh!! I would appreciate it so so much if you would ask.
I know there are online pharmacies that /might/ have stock they could mail to me, but it's really hard how to tell the legit sites from the illegal ones. I know not to trust any pharmacy that wouldn't require a prescription, still skeptical altogether though.

Finally I found a site that would mail Azo through the border, ordered through the ICNstore. Have you had any experience with it/able to compare the two?

I like the OTC azo, it is a lower dose and works fine for me. I find the rx doesage makes me nauseated and can cause me retention.

I have ordered things from the IC network with no problems.

I was just reading an article that says a really high % of Candain on line pharamcies are fakes and get their meds for china, india etc.

If it is a Canadain online pharamacy and they are willing to sell with no rx then it probably is a fake.

There is no OTC AZO in Canada.

I live in Vancouver and my GP says she has a few local pharmacies that will make it upon request. Maybe you could ask your GP if that is possible where you are?

Hope you are able to get a hold of some soon!
