  • Slippery Elm Bark instead of Elmiron?

Does anyone know whether the natural pentosans in Slippery Elm Bark can produce the same retinal damage as Elmiron? (I assume the "Elm" in Elmiron comes from Slippery Elm). I would love to try Slippery Elm if there is at least an argument that its safer than Elmiron, and would appreciate any recommendations from people who have had success with it. Thanks

Elmiron lists the contents as pentosin sulfate (not sure if I spelled that right) --- I have never seen anything indicating that it contains an elm product. I honestly don't know if slippery elm will be effective. Please post to let us know if it works for you.

    Warm hugs,
    Stay safe
