Does anyone know if Elmiron will continue to work even if I continue to drink iced tea w/ lemon (my addiction!)? It doesn't cause me any pain and maybe only a slight increase in frequency, if any, and then not consistently. Is the work of Elmiron stopped or slowed down when acidic foods are consumed? I was on Elmiron for 3 months, stopped for a month, then started again & have been on it for 2 months since restarting. Thanks!

Both the tea and the lemon would be a problem for most ICers. It might be a good idea for you to skip this drink for a while and see if you have less frequency.

My problems with food are totally independent of Elmiron. There is no link between the two for me. I use Elmiron and also maintain "tight diet control."

The tea and the lemon would also be big NO's for me.
