I know Elmiron doesn't work for every one. My doctor ended up prescribing 600 mgs a day (300 mgs wasn't that beneficial for the first 6 months). with atarax for IC. He believed that some patients needed more of elmiron to initially coat the bladder. I've dropped back to 300 mgs, after a few years, now 200 mgs (only just done a few weeks back). I was a very, very strict follower of the ic diet for a couple of years, and now I eat Thai, curries, coffee, wine, etc. I have had some diahrrea, but I am also sensitive to some foods - which could be the major culprit. Sometimes coffee and wine will cause ic sensitivity, but in general I thank God that most of my "old normal" life" has returned. Give it a go....maybe it will do the trick for you. Question though, has anyone had any bad side effects with Elmiron and Lip:woohoo: itor? About to start the high cholesterol med. and just curious since they ca:woohoo: n both affect the liver.

That is great to hear that Elmiron worked so well for you! I too had great luck with it and am able to eat whatever I want (within reason, lol, no sense tempting fate! LOL), and feel great most of the time!

Zytrec for Nasal Allergies
Align Probiotic daily for IBS -
