I have the hardest time with taking these pills, because they say you have to take it one hour before you eat, or 2 hours after. And I love to snack, and I just eat at weird hours. Does anyone else have this problem.

I found it very hard to stick to that b/c I always have to have something in my mouth. I take one in the morning first thing, then eat about 40mins later, then I take 2 at night, and I really don't worry about what I've eaten before. Told my uro that I was having trouble not eating with it, and she said that it was fine, they absorb better on an empty stomache though. If you're having a really hard time sticking to it, ask your uro, maybe they'll let you do the same.

You take 1 in the morning and 2 at night? I wish I could do that, my doctor told me to take 3 a day. I just assumed that meant 3x a day, and so I take one right when I wake up, one in the afternoon and one when I go to bed. I take my night time pill along with all of my asthma medications and my birth control. I hope thats okay

I was supposed to take it 3xs a day, one each, but it was just to hard for me to remember, and then the eating thing....so I take the two together. Works for me atleast. I also take my night ones w/ my birthcontrol and Elavil.

The first uro I had prescribed 3 times a day and I, too had a hard time with getting it right. Then he said similar to what some of you are doing - one in the morning and one at night and the afternoon one like 2:00. That didn't work either. I have a new uro and he said 2 in the morning and 2 at night. That has worked well for me.

After all these years of taking Elmiron (12 years) I still have trouble remembering taking the afternoon pill!!) as I like to snack in the afternoon or I might take my lunch hour at a different time. I found out if I take my lunch at 11:00, then I'm ok to take my afternoon pill at 1:00 or so. So now with this schedule, I take it early in the morning (5:00a.m., 1:00p.m and then 9:00p.m. when I take most of my other medicines, this seems to help me the most.)

I used to take 3 during the day also. Now I take one before I go to bed. I usually wake up between 2 and 4 in the morning (usually because I have to pee) so I get up and take another one. I take the last one when I get up in the morning. I found this to be so much easier.

can you take them in one go?
i have had such a hard time taking them 3x a day lately altho been on them 9 months or so. I ended up having to take them with food instead of missing it.
sometimes i now take 3 in one go as at least then it will be an empty stomach and work....
most of the time i have never taken them all in a safe distance time from foods....
