  • Cranberry Juice

People tell me that drinking Cranberry Juice helps with your Urniary Tract. I've been drinking cranberry juice for two weeks and found that my flaring has gone down by a lot. I drank the cranberry healthy balance (i think thats what its called), brand which has less suger and CHO (carbs). I found that drinking two full glasses a day really helped with the flares.

I would encourge everyone to try it.

    Jenny,

Wow, I'm so glad you found something that works for you. I, however, can't drink cranberry at ALL... it makes me flare really badly which is a shame because cranberry is one of my favourite juices. I really envy you. Before I was diagnosed with IC I drank a lot of "urinary tract health" teas which had a lot of cranberry in them. If you can tolerate it you might want to check those out too... they were tasty.

Like most people with IC, I can't tolerate cranberry juice at all. I know it can help prevent infections in a healthy bladder, but those of us with IC call it the "acid bomb" because it's so acidic. I'm totally amazed to hear that someone with IC can tolerate it at all.
