How long does it take Elmiron to leave the system?

Hi everyone,

I'm actually an old poster who forgot her password, so I have a new screen name. I've had IC for six years and have been on Elmiron the whole time. I've tried once before to go off of it, but got scared and started back after 2 weeks. I've now been off for over 3 weeks and doing pretty ok. I'm thinking of starting heparin instills again (used to self-instill 2 yrs ago.)

My main question is: How long does it take for Elmiron to fully leave the system? I just want to know when it is no longer doing anything to my body, good or bad. Any replies will be very appreciated!

I think its completely gone in 6 days

I would also like to know how long it takes for elmeron instill. To get out of sydtem

I tried to go off Elmiron once and the symptoms were back within 2 weeks. Luckily I went back on and it started to work again.

Thanks for info. I only had one elmeron. Instill. No hair loss. Cause I never took orally. But I will never do another instill....just wanted to know how long it took to get out of system ..but thanks six days and counting
