Is Elmiron Back?

Ortho's website is reporting product availability again on Elmiron! Is it really true or is this an old post? This is appearing on the Elmiron website, but it is not dated. I also saw it posted on another IC website...I hope it is true as I am on my two weeks of meds...

If you are currently taking ELMIRON®, you should check with local pharmacies and plan treatment accordingly with your doctor.

Yes, in some pharm., Elmeron is back! My Mother had a problem getting it once Medicare kicked in, as she has been getting her med's out of Austrl. and has just found a pharm. in the states that could refill for 4 months, although everyone she called at the time was out, supply is coming back, guess you will just have to keep calling. A perscription through Austraila once called in can take two weeks to fill and ship, a generic and it is not covered by insurance, around 250.00 -300.00 for 90 pill, one months supply, and the perscription can be kept in Austraila and in the states through your Dr. as a dire straight, hope this helps, keep checking, Carolyn

I never really had a problem getting my Elmiron; sure they might only give me a partial refill (maybe a weeks worth) but by that time I usually get the rest.
Glad its back though for those of you who had any problems with getting it.

However what is the census on Elmiron - Is it affective ?

I could only get 18 pills last month but just got my whole rx filled this week, so hopefully we won't have to wait again.
