Started Elmiron this week

So far, it's been okay! I can't tell if the diarrhea is Elmiron or my IBS, but I can never really tell...hah anyway.

Since it says to take it three times a day on an empty stomach, two hours after eating and one hour before, I was writing down when I had meals and then when I could take the pills. my dad asked what I was doing and so I explained about taking it on an empty stomach. He asked me how long I'd have to do this for when it hit me- as long as I'm on the medicine? which will probably be a very long time?

so I was wondering, has everyone been keeping careful track of meal/snack times since they started Elmiron?

I also appreciate everyone's response to my weight thread. I'm comforted to know that I probably won't have that side effect I had from TCAs and SSRIs! I mean I've finally now lost the extra pounds that those medications put on me, I'd so hate to gain them back..

I thought it would be hard for me too take meds before or after I ate, I usually only eat dinner so it was alot easier for me then some. I take my morning dose of meds before I leave for work, if I decide to eat lunch then I take it an hour before I eat and dinner was the easiest I get off at 3 so I take my last dose when I get home from work.
