  • Marshmellow Tea?

Has anyone tried Marshmallow Tea? I am so weary of drinking anything other than water that I am almost afraid to try it, but some people have said that it helps? Opinions? Thanks!

I have tried the capsules and the tincture. They made me feel worst. I never had the tea before. Some people get great relief, even remission from drinking it every day. For other people it increases frequency. You have to try and see. It can provide a coating around the bladder and help decrease irritation.
Diagnosed with IC October 2009- through bladder biopsy (no glomerations or hunners ulcers found, just irritation)

    I have moderate-severe IC

Currently stopped taking all medications due to pregnancy

Marshmallow root is a diuretic --- some may find that soothing, but I take a diuretic for blood pressure control so it's not something I can have.

        Thanks.

Maybe I'll be brave and try it at some point. Usually anything other than water gives me a UTI... so I'm kind of hesitant.

Thanks. This is off topic, but today has not been a good day. On top of my IC, I found out today that I have kidney stones.

maybe the kidney stones were causing your IC symptoms. How did you find out you had kidney stones?

I had an x-ray on my back Tuesday because I was having a lot of pain, and it showed up on that.

Sorry about the kidney stones. I've had lots of them lithotripsied and I still have lots of them left. Lithotripsy is the very easiest way to get rid of them. It's a snap!! Let me know how you're doing!!
