  • Magnesium - what type?

    I have not been formally diagnosed with IC but have had urgency/freuquency (particularly at night) for the past few years. I had the same problem about 10 years ago which stopped after biofeedback but that hasn't helped much this time. I have done several courses of PT.

    A naturopath sold me a specific form of magnesium. I have found that this really helps relax my bladder and helps me sleep (this has been my biggest problem - horrible sleep!). I looked it up and it actually for ADHD for kids.

    I wanted to buy some more magnesium but am wondering what to get. Some other type of magnesium? I could re-order but thought I would look for other options first. Is it good to have B-6 as part of combo?

    If the supplement you've been using is working, I don't know why you would switch! Good luck with whatever you decide.

    Lexapro-20 mg
    Aciphex
    Ambien-as needed
    Percocet-7.5 up to 3 per day as needed
    Valium-10 mg x2 per day
    Phenergan-1 at night
    Prelief w/everything
    Now recovering from acute pancreatitis

    Currents treatments that help somewhat:
    Heating pad
    Hot baths
    Ice
    Being VERY still while lying down with legs elevated

      What type of magnesium are you using? I am having trouble finding the right type. I would not recommend using B6. The B vitamins are usually big flare causing items.
