Hey thanks for the ideas! For the most part I have also increaed my water, and have been eating a TON of veggies, so I seem to have no problem "going" now that I have changed my diet. When I was just following the IC diet I was having SERIOUS issues that were painful! A soon as I switched to the anti candida diet and the alkaline diet I have have been having normal bowels as well thank goodness. Everyone is so different.

my uro has me taking Chia seeds. They don't seem to bother me at all and do help. I put them in shakes, yogurt, rice pudding, on salads, etc. Plus I really increased my water intake.

She did say that they could bother some people with IC because they could cause some stimulation, that I could feel worse before I felt better. But at the same time I had a cysto with hydrodistention so its hard to say which it was.

My friend without IC also started eating them and says they help her too. She also puts them in her morning shakes and in yogurt

I use Benefiber.they have powder and oblong tablets. I use the tablets, one with each meal. I no longer suffer with constipation or hard little balls.they do not affect my bladder in any way.

For me magnesium supplements help a great deal along with a lot of fresh vegetables, some grains, and whatever fruit is tolerable. Good thing I like pears!

Fresh vegetables, grains, fruits all have fiber. Be sure you're drinking plenty of water.

You might also talk with your doctor about a stool softener if you have frequent constipation.

    Suppliment for constipation?

Hello everyone! Does anyone have an effective way to ward off constipation? Is there a suppliment I can take that doesnt bug bladders!?

I was putting flax powder in my smoothies which was really helping alot, but I just read that it can often be a bladder irritant.

    Thanks!
