    Desert Harvest Aloe Vera

    I'm really surprised there isn't a thread already started on this!

    According to their website, 87% of people in their clinical trial experienced relief from their symptoms and 50% had all their symptoms go away. And no side effects! Only 47% of people in the Elmiron trial experienced relief (47% vs. 87%....WOAH).

    Has anyone tried Desert Harvest? Thoughts on their amazing success rate that blows Elmiron out of the water?
    Diagnosed with IC on 05/16/2011

    Current treatments:

    IC Diet
    Elmiron - 100mg, 3 times daily
    Spring Valley Aloe Vera capsules - 25mg, once daily
    Avoiding stress
    Heating pad as needed

        Many people do, but it's important that you check with your doctor before adding any new remedy/medication.

          Doe anyone know if you can order this online and have it shipped to Canada... I know that ou can get cytoprotek as long as you order through algonot, but if you try and order off the website it says US sales only... Id really like to try the aloe!

          28 yrs old,

          I have little to no problems now with my bladder, unless I am very stressed out, I forget to take Elmiron for a few days, or I eat or drink something that I know is a trigger...(i.e) like eating a tomato or drinking tea.... Took a long time to get here, but it IS possible to feel good again I just want people who are new to know that IT CAN get better, and for every one person who is suffering, there are hundreds of others who feel GREAT because they have control of thier IC.

          What Works: Tylenol 3's, Pyridium, Elmiron (Going on 4 years now!) HOT showers!!!

          Medications/ Vitamins: Elmiron-100mg 4x's daily Tylenol 3's/Advil (flaring) Vitamin D, WILD salmon oil 4x gels in the morning, Women's ONE a DAY multivitamin (the gummy kind doesn't make me flare) and PROBIOTICS!

            I did aloe vera for about 6 weeks and did not get improvement. They say it can take anywhere between 1 week and 3 months...but both my uro and DOM (doctor of oriental med) said to go off of it if i haven't seen improvement yet.

            I am doing cystoprotek and gelnique right now...in addition to acupuncture. Acupuncture had definitely diminished my pain but not frequency.

            Just eliminated dairy too.

            Tried elmiron...but got diarrhea and didn't stick with it since we don't know when it will be on the market again.

            Try the aloe. My uro said he has seen success with it in many of his patients.

            Tried but failed:
            aloe vera (6 weeks)
            cysto/hydro
            cystoprotek
            elmiron (quit because of diarrhea) after one week
            restarted gradually and fine now since July 1/2011
            gelnique: made me feel like a zombie


            On now:
            elmiron: 200 mg twice a day
            levsin: every 4 hours
            ativan: bedtime only
            PT for pfd. Amazing for my muscles.

              If you go to the Desert Harvest website they will ship you a free sample and information on the product. I'm going to try the sample first before I decide to order it or not.
