    Homemade Low Acid Coffee

    If you don't have bad IC flares and you cannot live without at least that one cup of coffee.... Ronco makes a cold brewed coffee maker (on ebay for about $14). It makes coffee that is 65% less acid and 1/3 less caffeine. I just got mine and tried it this morning. It wasn't as strong as the regular brewed coffee...but certainly was worth it with 65% less acid. I am very pleased with my purchase. Of course, if you have bad flares I wouldn't recommend it, but if you have them under control and just want that one cup of coffee..the Ronco Cold Brew Coffee maker is well worth $14 as opposed to buying the packages of low acid coffee that are like $9.99 for about 8oz. Just wanted to share. The coffee tastes pretty good and is easy on the bladder and stomach.

      Never heard of IC til suspected....Never knew so many suffer from it. Praying for a cure. I've found answers...so can you...keep the hope.

          Yes I've heard of doing this. A friend of mine soaks the beans in a cold press coffee maker overnight in the fridge. I've read that this takes a large amount of the acid out of the beans.
