  • no more big peeing

Well, been back twice to PT and the peeing has been staying the same. Back to just a little. Not sure why I had that big peeing on Friday but doubt that will happen again.

It's okay, because it's very normal for IC to have better days and worse days - but just the fact that you got some really good days in there, means it is getting better! What you might find is that as time goes on, you get more and more good days like you had, and less and less bad days, and the bad days won't be as bad as your bad days used to be. I'm pretty sure that's how it will happen!

But don't be discouraged - IC'ers hardly ever get well in a straight line, LOL - it's usually getting well in a zig-zag kind of line...but you are going in the right direction, don't worry....

      Blessings,
      Lori

Thank you, Lori, that post helped me too. I've been a little bit down in the dumps for the past couple of days, because things had improved a lot but now I'm back to having pelvic and back pain all day.. Gotta remember it's not going to be a straight line. I am hoping this is pre-menstrual, but I don't really know. Anyway, thanks for the reminder and the encouragement, even though it wasn't directed to me!
Je vous souhaite de la joie, de la bonne santée, et tout ce qu'il y a de bon dans la vie.
Wishing you happiness and good health, and all the best out of life.

        Peace, Carolyn

Yeah, I know how you guys feel. I've been having some back, PF, bottom and thigh pain and spasms again lately despite my PT progress.
My PT always emphasizes that this will be a lifelong struggle with ups and downs. Even though we get better sometimes we shouldn't feel defeated when we don't stay that way!
          Diagnosed with IC: October 2006

Related diagnoses: PFD, chronic back pain, vulvodynia, IBS, anxiety.

          Treatment:
          Lots of water
          Fiber, when I can remember...
Elmiron (I'm down to 200mg per day)
Kegels (10 sets of 10 second holds per day)
          Yoga and Pilates, each weekly
          Exercise 3x weekly

          Have tried:
PT for PFD and chronic back pain (VERY helpful)
IC diet (I'm not diet-sensitive while on Elmiron)

Good thing we don't have to do the straight walking line to see if we have been over drinking. It would show that I was bombed out of my head. I have noticed I don't have good balancing anymore. ANyone else have that problem?
