My pelvic floor is SO BAD, it feels like my bladder is going to fall out on the floor - but I KNOW I need to exercise and get the blood moving. Any suggestions given my current symptoms? Thanks everyone!
Stephanie
Yoga is a great form of exercise for people in your situation. It gets the heart pumping without being too josling on the bladder. It can also help stretch and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. If you can't make it to classes you can always buy DVD's and do it at home. I did it that way and really liked it. I suggest if you do go the DVD route that you buy a couple of different ones so that you don't get stuck doing the same thing day after day. Good luck,
Erin
I would take it REALLY EASY with stretching, yoga, walking, etc. Do you see a physical therapist? I wouldn't do any exercise without talking to a PT to make sure you don't put any strain that will make it worse!
What does your doctor recommend? Usually it's a good idea to ask.

They have those pedal things you can while sitting down. There are sitting exercises for senior citizens on tapes. Not sure if you can buy one in the stores but those are mostly just stretching. I know we are supposed to keep moving. My PT just told me that this morning. I know it is very hard to do and doesn't seem right when you are in pain so much and afterwards. Have any doc given you an idea on what to do?
