  • FINALLY getting internal massage

I have been trying for so long to find someone to do internal massage on me. I have so many spasms in my pelvic floor. My new Uro found me a woman who does internal and takes my insurance. I am so excited b/c from research I have done this is very helpful for people who spasm a lot in the urethra and vagina.

Has anyone else had this?? Howdid it work out?? I have had biofeeback in the past but I think this will be a better fit. My appt is the 15th.

I had the internal work done and was in pt for two months. Yes it did help, but the first few sessions were somewhat painful and left me with bladder irritation for the rest of the day. I felt it was irritating everything but my dr. urged me to continue and I was glad I did. Once the muscles were stretched and relaxed (after the first few sessions) it wasn't painful at all and I did benefit from it. Not everyone finds it painful though- I guess I was just one of the lucky ones(lol), or it could have been that my muscles were so tight to begin with it took a while to get them to relax.

HI, VCNJ84 ~ Yes, I've had severe spasms and am currently having the PT you speak of. The Therapist in the past used biofeedback and like you, I don't think that was as helpful as the trigger point massage. My muscles were so tight they felt like guitar strings to my therapist. Now I can make it through the session with minimal discomfort. One thing my Uro/Gyn PA has recommended is an instillation immediately after the PT....I think this really helps.

Hope you have good results! I never knew the spasms could cause so much pain especially when trying to start my stream.
Never heard of IC til suspected....Never knew so many suffer from it. Praying for a cure. I've found answers...so can you...keep the hope.
