Pain after Interstim Surgery

I went in and had my trial Interstim on April 24, 2013. It hurt when they put the leads in. i was told its because I have a really arched bottom back. It was hard for him to find the spot as quickly as he wanted. So I have to say I experienced some pain from the trial. When I had it, I loved it! It worked so well, especially on my left side. I had it for a week. I tried my roght side & never felt any good from it. so i had it in my head they would do the surgery on my left side. I kept my journal. Which was great since it cut my urinating in half or more. I was so excited! I had to wait over 2 weeks to have the second part of the Interstim put in. I was anxious about it & couldn't wait! Finally May 10, 2013 came. I had to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. Wow, was that early. Of course I get prepped for surgery ect & my Doctor is no where to be found. Finally he shows up and they take me into the OR. I was worried that they wouldn't put me out all the way because I was only doing twilight, not completely put. I had fears about it, but it worked very well. Didn't remember a thing I came out in a ton of pain & they gave me shots in my I.V. of daladid . Which kept me comfortable there. I was sent home on 5mg Norco/Vicodin (20 ct.) Which didn't help at all with my pain! I called my Doctor for more pain meds. He gave me another 5mg Norco/Vicodin (20 ct.) Which made me angry! My Urologist ALWAYS told me that he would do ANYTHING to keep me out of pain. I don't believe that now. The first day I met him, I felt like everything would be ok. It's NOT!! I'm still experiencing pain in my back, leg, foot & incision spot. I just tried to call the "on call Doctor" that was an hour ago now. I know he's just going to tell me to go to the E.R. I have a life to take care of, I have two children. I can't be put in the E.R. every time. I just wish that he would have given me the correct pain meds for home relief. I'm still worried about infection (even though I'm on an anti-biotic 3 pills every 6 hours.) has anyone else felt with this sort if pain, this long after surgery? Stinging, stabbing & just aching sore pains. All over my back & at the incision site? Thanks for reading, & sorry for this being so long.

It's close to a month since your surgery; you should be feeling some relief from the post surgery pain by now. I think it would be a good idea to make an appointment to see the surgeon just to be on the cautious side. If you get worse over the weekend, you may need to go to either emergency room or an urgent care center.
