Question: bladder transplant

I want to know more about bladder transplants. Removing the bladder would stop the pain of IC?
Those who have done it feel better?

I've tried most of treatments and nothing seems to work. I will try now some natural treatments, and if they don't work, I was thinking about removing the bladder, because otherwise seems impossible to live a normal life.
I can't even sit in a chair due to the pain, and it's getting worse.

I haven't heard of bladder transplants, but there are some folks who have had bladders removed and have different kinds of pouches. It doesn't always work, but some have successes. You might want to read the posts in the bladder removal forums.

Thanks for your reply. The pouches are placed inside the body, or outside?

There is at least one pouch that's inside the body --- and some use a plastic bag that sticks to the skin and collects urine full time. There are different options --- I hope you'll hear from others with better explanations.

If you read more from forum, you will find out, that bladder removal very often does not take away IC pain, but brings new problems.
Have you tried Uracyst/Gepan instillations? If you are from US, you can order them (medical device, noit medicine) from Canada. Until you have done it at least 2 years (first 6 times every week, then every 2-3 weeks), you should not consider removal yet. It can take time to work, that is why I say 2 years.
