  • Considering surgery, is it worth it?

I'm done, it's been 8 years from hell and I don't know what else to do. I've tried almost everything and nothing works, from 2012 to 2014 my IC was in remission, I had a small flare now and then but I could do, eat and drink whatever I wanted for the most part. It's been years since I've had a day where I feel fine, a day where I don't feel my bladder, a day where I'm not going to the bathroom 200 times. I've been waiting for an urologist appointment at the hospital in my area since june 2016, soon i'ts going to be a year and here I am, watching the time go by, unable to work or even go out like a normal person. Lately I've been considering surgery and I would like to hear opinions from those who've had it. Was it worth it?

The only suggestion I have for you is to look at the American Urology Association Guidelines for Treatment at the link in my signature below. There may be some options there that you haven't tried?
