I need help with my ic

i have had ic for now for two years. it went from bad to choric i cant even work anymore. because of so many flare ups i have tried backen soda and water prelif. elimron and all types of pain med. i even been in the hosipal onces. in most pat. with ic they dont get may uti but it seems everytime i trun around i have one i have aleast two a mth. and i'm at my end of my rode i'm tried of hurting so much even the thought of my hub. touching me makes my skin crawl. i love him very much but i'm sick of hurting. when my ic flares up sometimes it makes me hurt so bad i do really get sick and throw up. what can i do? <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[banghead]" /> <img src="graemlins/toilet.gif" border="0" alt="[toilet]" />

Have you tried combining the Elmiron with Vistaril (antihistamine). It's worked for me. LDS

Trust me I UNDERSTAND!!! I have had IC for about 7 years now and have been at this pass many, many times. I work, but I work simply for the insurance because without it I don't know what we would do. I've done it all almost, dmso, heprin, elmiron, pain meds, hydrodistentions, interstim. My problem is everything WORKS then in about 6 to 8 months stops working. It stinks, truly stinks! I work and go home and go to bed and try to live a normal life at 35 this way. Sometimes I just want to scream. People don't understand why one day I can be perfectly fine and the next totally bedridden. My husband even at times starts to doubt that I'm in as bad of shape that I am in. All I can say is keep on keeping on. I find that eventually I get to feeling better and the alternative is not an option for me.
