Bladder transplants?
Why can't they do this? Does anyone know? It seems to me if you can transplant a heart why not a bladder? Faycarole

There was an article on bladder transplants that are being worked on in Germany and hopefully in 2 or 3 years they may be able to do them. I will look for the article. It would be great wouldn't it.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Carol~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am with you on that one. My mom has told me when she dies, if her bladder is okay she wants them to give it to me! haha! sweet but funny. I wish they could do it to and have often wondered the possibilty, but considering you need a heart, ect to live..you can just suffer if you have bladder problems. Not fair. Hopefully soon!Comment

you know, i totally agree with it. they should try donars. they use part of your old bladder when they replace it on the inside. butladies please think twice. the pain can return. mine returned a month later the pain crept in like a theif in the night. i didn't want to believe it at first but after a month i woke up. i just want you to think over every thing .you can e-mail me at [email protected] to talk some more ok if i hear any thing in my letters i will let you know bye deedee <img src="graemlins/grouphug.gif" border="0" alt="[grouphug]" />dx'd i.c in 96,too many treatments and meds to remember before badder removed in 2000.pain returned..has since been on roller coster of narcs ad other things..3 suicial att..went into hosp to withdrawl from sooo many narcs and wt. got down to 85lbs....came out eating small amounts ad keeping them down..the only pain med was ultram 50mg q 6 hrs..and gabapintien sorry..can spell..600 mg q 6 hrs..in 2003..nowin 2006-ive had mesh pulled from myvaginal walls 3 timesso pain is severe again but also in rectum now..had to add hydro/app q 4 hrs.!!!but i still pray there is hope..i just need o find it.Comment
