  • Pouch IC symtpoms?

If the symtoms return with the pouch, what kind of symptoms does it feel like?

    Is it burning?
    Is it pressure?
    Is it sharp pain?

    Thank you,
    Susan
    17 years IC patient

You shouls not have burning with a Pouch. You could have Low Back Kidney Pain which you could have an Infection. You need to call your Dr. To be sure.. They could Cath you through your Stoma for a Clean Catch.

Since none of us here have had the IC return in our pouches (that I know of) I dont have the answer for you. I do have IBS in my pouch and my main symptom is leaking as well as periodically gettting spasms. When I get an infection in my pouch, I have the feeling of needing to cath more frequently, my urine stinks, I run fevers, have nausea and vomiting, pain all over, shaking chills, etc. Judith

I've not experienced any of those symptoms with my Indiana Pouch. I have similar symptoms to Judith's when I have an infection.

I also have some journals of my journeys, past and some present at:

Most of my Journaling now is currently on Facebook. These are old and my ICN Patient story is very old and outdated.
