Hypogastric plexus block

has any one had a hypogastric plexus block? If so did you go through having the nerves burnt or removed? How was the end result?? I would love some info on this. I had my first injection it made the spasms a little less painful for the first test it only lasted one day. Please any info will help

Hi Lynn , I think I had it done a long time ago at Dartmouth. Is that where you are going? I remember I had a nerve block done- they did a test block and since it was helpful they did a permanent one.

No I didn't go to Dartmouth for the block. I went to the Pain clinic @ Elliot Health System in Manchester NH with Dr. Eduardo Quesada. Very nice Dr. He will try the block test a couple of times to make sure he has the correct nerves and then go in to burn them so I will have permanent relief. I have lots of questions still just wanted to know if anyone had it done and if they had them burnt or removed and if they still have relief.
I hope you are doing well Judith. I am still struggling with very strong spasms and my urostomy isn't draining the best which causes kidney pains. I found a new Doctor in Concord NH and she is referring me to many others for help I hope this all works I am really at my wits end. thanks for the note I love hearing from you.
