    Urinary Diversion

    I am going to be getting my interstim removed and either getting a urinary diversion or bladder removal in around 3-6 months. I have tried hundreds of other treatments. I cannot find anything on urinary diversion (ileal conduit). Can anyone explain how I can see the posts on this. There must be others who have done this. I know that some threads are protected. I logged in. I even "registered" on top of that, but I just am missing something in the steps to view the posts.
    I appreciate any help in this. It would be a life saver!

      FYI: Just to clarify- you won't get a urinary diversion Or a bladder removal. They are both required steps in a radical cystectomy. Removal of the bladder necessitates a urinary diversion. After the bladder is removed, the surgeon must create a new way for the urine to go from the kidneys and leave the body. This new path is called a urinary reconstruction or a urinary diversion. The most common types of urinary diversions are 1) an ileal conduit (external bag, which is what I have) 2) a Neo bladder or 3) an Indiana pouch. There is lots of information on the internet explaining the differences between the three diversions.
